Second consecutive fall in fuel prices

Prices of all fuels in Lebanon recorded their second consecutive fall yesterday, on the scale of the Ministry of Energy and Water. These tariffs are now published daily, at the rate of depreciation or appreciation of the Lebanese pound against the dollar on the parallel market and also on the basis of world oil prices. While the latter has seen a recent rise, the pound appreciated against the dollar this week and traded around 23,000 pounds against the dollar yesterday.

The 20 liters of 95 octane gasoline now sells for 358,200 pounds (-1,400 pounds), and the 98 octane gasoline can for 370,000 pounds (-1,600 pounds). The 20 liters of diesel used for the vehicles (excluding the amount consumed by the electric generators, invoiced in dollars) is priced at 314,800 pounds (- 8,200 pounds). The gas cylinder sells for 271,000 pounds (-6,900 pounds).
