The wellness journey began when Mike stepped on the scale in June 2021 and found he weighed 300 pounds. for the first time in his life. Mike said he knew he’d be more motivated if he had easy access to equipment; so he invested in dumbbells and an elliptical trainer to set up a home gym. “I started exercising; not every day; but almost every day; I ate well and the weight started to drop;” he told the agency. Poster. « I tried to go there five; six times a week and stay there for about half an hour. And there was nothing scientific about it. Substantial weight gain has been a slow process over the years; beginning when Mike was first elected to public office in 2010. The pressures of his high-level positions; such as that of CIA director; they increased his stress and allowed him to make excuses to gorging on cheeseburgers or other junk food while he worked. -He is not the first person to enter politics and; due to the demands of the job; he has put on weight. He travels all over the world; he flies at 1pm; 2pm in different places; different time zones –; Mike’s classmate at West Point David urban said to Poster. -It is incredibly difficult to maintain any type of routine; much less an exercise program. Somehow you get behind work.

For Mike; the challenge was both mental and physical. “The truth is that losing weight has been a lifelong struggle for me;” he said in the interview. -It is difficult and it is not permanent. There’s no guarantee that I’ll always be where I weigh right now; but if you realize that good things can happen if you persevere; you can too. With his new outlook on life; Mike is now focused on the future. “I want to be there for my family and hopefully many grandchildren.”
