New Health Rules: Impacts on City of Sorel-Tracy Activities

Sorel-Tracy, January 7, 2022 – Following the latest directives issued by Public Health, here are the changes made to leisure activities in the City of Sorel-Tracy.

Registrations for library activities are postponed to January 13, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The activities (conferences, workshops, etc.) will be offered in virtual mode until further notice.

Access to libraries is maintained in accordance with health standards. For more information, see the libraries website:

Swimming, karate and dance classes, winter session 2022
Registrations for swimming, karate and dance classes, which were due to take place on January 12, 2022, have been postponed to a later date. As soon as registration and classes can take place, the City will post the information on its website and Facebook page.

Laurier-R.-Menard Pool
Free swimming in the pool is maintained, without reservation. To check the schedule, go to the City Council website, Swimming pools and water games section:

Due to the curfew currently in force, the badminton schedule has been changed to the following: Wednesdays and Sundays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Beginning of the activity on January 9, 2022.

Free Skating at Coliseum Cardin
People who wish to participate in the free skate must reserve their time by calling 450 780-5600, ext. 4400, or online on the City website, Colisée Cardin section:

In accordance with the latest Public Health directives, free hockey is canceled until further notice.
