Football. FC Metz-Tiger Cup: starts this Sunday

The sixth edition of the FC Metz-Tiger Cup kicks off this Sunday; January 2 in Saint-Avold. This tournament reserved for the U11 category will once again bring together around 130 teams from the Grand Est region and Luxembourg. And; for the first time; a tournament will also bring together a women’s field.

Organized by FC Metz in collaboration with Zoo d’Amnéville; this event will allow around 1;000 players to play against each other in 400 matches for the knockout phase and 70 for the final phase.

The FC Metz-Tiger Cup will stop successively in Saint-Avold; Sarrebourg; Basse-Ham; Mondorf-les-Bains; Metz; Pont-à-Mousson; Eloyes and Verdun. At the end of this elimination phase; 36 teams will qualify for the final phase organized in June; at the FC Metz and Amnéville Zoo facilities.
