Utrecht is constantly on the move. There is construction and demolition. As a result; the city looks very different in some places than it used to be. In this section we show those changes.

The Utrecht station area is perhaps the place that has changed the most in recent years. Only a few buildings are reminiscent of the past. The inner city; on the other hand; has looked more or less the same for a while; but subtle changes have also been made there over the past hundred years.

The Utrecht Archive holds thousands of photos of the city. Some of them are over a hundred years old. Based on those photos; we show in this section how Utrecht has changed over the years.
