The IS National Stock Exchange (NSE) in a recent circular announcing a review of the quantitative freezing limits of Nifty and Nifty Financial Services (FinNifty) Futures and Options contracts that have come into effect on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
“In accordance with the policy stated in the circular, the quantitative freezing limits for index derivative contracts will apply as of March 02, 2022,” the stock exchange said.
The quantitative freezing limits for Nifty Bank remain at 1,200, but in Nifty’s case, it was revised to 2,800 from 1,800 earlier. Similarly, Nifty Financial Services’s (FINNIFTY) quantity limit is 2,800 compared to 1,800 earlier, and in the case of Nifty Midcap (MIDCPNIFTY) the limit remains at 5,500.
“Members are advised to build the updated contract.gz file available on the faoftp / faocommon extranet path before trading on March 02, 2022. Quantitative freezing details for each quote will be available on the website,” added NSE in the circular issued. on February 28, 2022.
