Five tips to start investing in Lima Stock Exchange, what is the minimum amount? | YOUR MONEY

Getting started with the world of investments can be a bit complicated if certain important aspects are not defined.

Because of this, the BVL Group Financial Studies Center has put together five tips that will help you as you embark on your career as an investor.

  1. Analyze your profile: Before you start in the world of the stock market, it’s good to know what your market behavior is and how this will influence your investment decisions. To know your profile you need to analyze your level of risk tolerance.
  2. Set size: While there is no minimum investment, it is recommended that the amount you invest is at least S / 5,000 which will allow you to cover stockbroker commissions, registration and registration fees with the potential profits and profitability of your investment.
  3. Choose a broker: In the Lima Stock Exchange it is not possible to buy and sell shares directly, for this reason Stockbroking Companies (SABs), these intermediaries are companies controlled and authorized by Stock Exchange Supervision to perform this task. There are currently 21 FEIs registered and you can start your investments with them.
  4. Created on RUT: The RUT is a code assigned to each securities owner who is booked into an account in CAVALI SAICLV and allows you to perform stock market operations. The SAB you choose will be in charge of creating your Unique Holder Registry (RUT) and where all your actions will be registered.
  5. Diversification: It is important to know that you can not only invest in stocks, but also in bonds, commercial paper, among others. In Lima Stock Exchange you can invest in more than 290 foreign securities (ETFs and shares), FIBRAs, and more.
