Roger Federer closes his impressive career in the Laver Cup

The Swiss Roger Federer, considered the best tennis player of all time, will end his illustrious career on Friday where he won 20 majors, among other achievements, in Making a cupthe exhibition tournament played in London, where he will compete alone in doubles and with a luxury partner: the multiple Spanish champion Rafael Nadal.

The European team, which won the previous four editions of the Laver Cup played in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 (it was not held in 2020 at the height of the corona virus epidemic), will be captained by the glory of former Swedish tennis player Björn Borg.

The formation of the Europeans will include the “Big Three”, which will also include Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, and they will complete Norway’s Casper Ruud, Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas and Scotland’s Andy Murray, as well as Italy’s Matteo Berrettini as a backup and safe replacement for Federer in singles.
