- Fresh challenge brings Sophie back to SRO Motorsports Group
- Senior team otherwise unchanged ahead of 28-31 July event
Sophie Peyrat has made a welcome return to SRO Motorsports Group following her appointment as Event Director for the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa.
The position will see Sophie take charge of all day-to-day operations for the long-running endurance contest, which represents the marquee round of both Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS and Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli. Among others, her responsibilities will include logistic and on-site management, interpersonal coordination, and providing a point of contact for all stakeholders.
Though new to this role, Sophie can draw on vast experience of the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa thanks to her 14-year spell with SRO Motorsports Group between 2007 and 2021.
The remainder of the senior team for the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa remains in place for 2022. Laurent Gaudin will continue to lead the line as General Manager, overseeing all aspects of the organisation. Adelheid Terryn combines the roles of Head of Communications and Entertainement, while Alexandre Renaux acts as Marketing Coordinator.
This year’s TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa will represent the historic race’s 74th running and the 22nd since SRO Motorsports Group began its stewardship in 2001. The official test days are scheduled for 21-22 June, while the main event takes place on 28-31 July.
