If the West provides nuclear weapons to Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces will launch a pre-emptive strike, warned the vice president of the National Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev.
In the opinion of the Russian leader, if kyiv’s allies provide them with fighter planes, they may still provide it with nuclear weapons.
That action would suggest to them the arrival of a missile with a nuclear warhead, but there are irreversible laws in war. Medvedev confirmed the news agency Sputnik.
Under current doctrine, Russia has the right to use its nuclear arsenal in response to a foreign attack with weapons of mass destruction, or in the event of an attack with conventional weapons if it is an existential threat.
Medvedev has also since been surprised by Europe’s performance in the conflict in Ukraine although the United States acts according to its pragmatic interests, profit without entering the fight and trying to destroy a secular enemyhe emphasized.
