Madrid, May 23, 2023.- CloserStill Mediaa company dedicated to organizing events worldwide related to technology and medical care, has announced today that it will organize Professional Women’s Health Care in November, the first conference in Spain dedicated to health and women’s well-being.
Care of Women’s Health Professionals, which will take place at IFEMA on November 17 and 18, will include a high-level presentation analyzing the specific needs of women in the fields of oncology, gynecology, sports or mental health. The professional fair will bring together more than 50 laboratories and companies, and aims to open a debate on the need to incorporate a gender perspective in healthcare. More than 1,200 healthcare professionals are expected to attend the event.
During the presentation on the Care of Women’s Health Professionals, president of Closer Still Media, Agustín Torresit is highlighted that the “main goal of the Congress is to bring health experts together to to take into account the gender perspective in the health system“. In addition, as it progressed, “advances in research and innovation will be addressed in innovative practices such as artificial intelligence and Big Data.”
For her part, the president of the Scientific Committee and speaker of the Conference, Pilar Mateo, said that the professional fair is “very important because it enables women’s health to be treated transversally for the first time” and he hopes that “it will be successful so that it can be repeated for many years and there is the opportunity to make a better world for all women, in the northern and southern hemisphere”.
The head of the Medical Oncology Department at the University Hospital of La Paz, Javier de Castro, also participated in the presentation, who hopes that the conference will “ serve as speaker highlight and explore the biological differences at all levels exists between men and women, and that affect diagnosis and therapeutic treatment“. In addition, he pointed out that there are cancers, due to the attitude of being a woman, which are diagnosed later.
The member of the Vice Ministry of Health Care and Public Health Fernando Prados Roa expressed “the unwavering commitment of the Community of Madrid to women’s health”, and expressed that he is “proud” to be the venue for this conference. : “Health cannot ignore the specifics of women’s health“, it is finished.
For his part, the director of the professional fair, Ramón Llunell, said that “it helps to design a new future for women’s health” and he believes that “it is necessary to open a debate on gender equality in health”.
Finally, Closer Still’s Marketing Director, Ana Grau, emphasized the importance of bringing this type of professional fair to Spain, which has been successful in countries such as the United Kingdom.
In addition, some of the main medical associations in the country attended the awarding ceremony, such as the Spanish Medical Oncology Association, the Spanish Immunology Association, the Spanish General and Family Physicians Association, the Spanish Physiotherapists Association or the Spanish Midwives Association.
