The National Civil Police (PNC), through the Sub-Directorate General for Anti-Narcotics Analysis and Intelligence (SGAIA), reported on March 24 that it had seized half a kilogram of cocaine in a parcel bound for the United States.

The PNC report states that the seizure was made in an export warehouse located within the La Aurora International Airport complex, in zone 13 of the Guatemalan capital.

He explains that the drugs were hidden in a package that carried various items that were to be sent to the United States.

The document states that the drug was hidden between wax candles.

The agents had to blow out the candles to find the packages of cocaine.

Field tests revealed that the substance seized by authorities was cocaine.

Among the evidence seized by the agents, which was in the package, were 85 fragments of paraffin; 6 articles of clothing; 4 sandpaper for screen printing; 2 handmade pencil holders; 3 craft ornaments; 3 craft ornaments for pen holder, 1 craft ornament in the form of iron; 8 nylon bags; 7 plastic jars; 10 tablets; scraps of aluminum and nylon.
