Argentina v Mexico in Qatar 2022: what time does it start and how to watch it on TV and online
At the moment everything can happen. You can classify one of the Latin Americans, you can classify both or neither.
Here, the cases after the group’s second date this Saturday.
What does Mexico need?
They have to beat Saudi Arabia no matter what and they have a good goal difference. If Argentina beat Poland, Lewandowski’s team is left with 4 points. If Argentina draw with Poland, they also have 4 points.
As things stand, Mexico’s only way to qualify for the next round is to qualify in second place. If they did, they would face the winner of group D, made up of France, Australia, Denmark and Tunisia.

What do Argentina need to qualify?
A win for Argentina against Poland sends Scaloni’s team straight into the next stage. But goal difference could decide whether they finish first in their group or the tie if they finish with 4 points.
If Argentina draws with Poland: it would add 4 points and be below Poland, which would achieve 5 points. They could qualify with this score if Mexico beats Saudi Arabia (if Saudi Arabia also draws with Mexico) and if their goal difference exceeds that of their rivals.
If Argentina lose to Poland, they are eliminated from the World Cup, as a win or draw for Saudi Arabia would give them more points than Argentina. And if Mexico wins, they would add 4 points and go to Argentina, who only have three.
If Argentina finishes first in Group C, they will face the runners-up in Group D (Denmark, Tunisia, Australia, France) in the round of 16. If they finish second in their group, they will play in the that step against the first group in Group D.
Can Argentina and Mexico pass the group?
It’s hard, but yeah.
Argentina would have to beat Poland, add 6 points and that’s it. Mexico, for its part, would have to beat Saudi Arabia and overcome its goal difference than Poland.
Here are the standings at this point in Group C:
