(CNN Spanish) – Millions of eyes were on Group C of the World Cup after Argentina’s historic win against Saudi Arabia in their opening match in Qatar, which complicated their chances of the to reach the round of 16. If Argentina draws with Poland: it would add 4 points and be below Poland, which would achieve 5 points. They could qualify with this score if Mexico beats Saudi Arabia (if Saudi Arabia also draws with Mexico) and if their goal difference exceeds that of their rivals.
If Argentina lose to Poland, they are eliminated from the World Cup, as a win or draw for Saudi Arabia would give them more points than Argentina. And if Mexico wins, they would add 4 points and go to Argentina, who only have three.
If Argentina finishes first in Group C, they will face the runners-up in Group D (Denmark, Tunisia, Australia, France) in the round of 16. If they finish second in their group, they will play in the that step against the first group in Group D.
