Estelle Evers from Nieuwegein exhibits in ‘Art at Utrecht Central Station’

At Utrecht Central Station; opposite the entrance to the Municipal Office of the Municipality of Utrecht; there are two shop windows on the outside of the station that were empty and had no function. These shop windows have been transformed by the Ondernemersfonds in Utrecht into an exhibition space for Utrecht art. Every two months; a different artist from Utrecht is given the opportunity to put his or her work in the spotlight. This time it is the turn of the Nieuwegein Estelle Evers. The two paintings by the Nieuwegein can be seen until the end of February.

A white backdrop has been placed in the shop windows; the floor has a dark floor covering and spotlights have been installed to highlight the artworks. A red and white colored frame is hung behind the glass shop window (colours of Utrecht). In this way extra attention is drawn to the artworks.

De Nieuwegeinse informs our editors: ‘Now that many locations are closed; it’s nice that my work can still be shared with a large audience.’ The paintings: ‘Big Noise’ and ‘Serenity’; each show a woman’s face. Estelle mainly focuses on portraiture of the modern woman and also has a own art gallery.

This project is not new; but a new contribution has been made for 2022 from drawing area 59 (Utrecht Central). This means that again this year 6 artists can show their work in this beautiful place where many people pass by every day.
