Top 10 F1 drivers 2021 according to team managers

In what has become a long tradition, created by Autosport, each of the F1 team leaders nominates their top ten drivers from last year. The individual results are kept secret, so that the team leaders can answer honestly, and the total is calculated according to the F1 point structure, which varies from 25 points for the first to 1 point for the tenth. The classification is then published by Autosport and Motorsport.com.

For the first time since his arrival in F1, the new World Champion Max verstappen came out on top, 14 points ahead of Lewis hamilton. Both drivers have dominated the Autosport standings in recent years, finishing top two each time since 2016. However, this is the first time the Dutchman has overtaken the Briton.

Behind Verstappen and Hamilton, Lando norris climbed to third place in the rankings after an extremely impressive season with Mclaren, during which he notably won his first pole position at the Russian Grand Prix and came very close to victory at the same event. He finished in the points table in front of the pilot Ferrari Carlos Sainz and the ghost Fernando Alonso, at[person]’s house Alpine.

The nine team managers who participated were Toto Wolff, Christian Horner, Andreas Seidl, Laurent Rossi, Otmar Szafnauer, Fred Vasseur, Franz Tost, Jost Capito and Günther Steiner. As usual, Ferrari coach Mattia Binotto did not participate in the vote.
